One of the world’s most prominent, and controversial, climate change skeptics, has been in New Zealand this week. Lord Christopher Monckton, the 3rd Viscount of Brenchley, is here as part of a world lecture tour promoting climate change denial. Reporter Benedict Collins met Christopher Monckton in Auckland, and while the Viscount might not believe in global warming, it didn’t take…
We’ve all heard the now almost cliched battle cry of modern creationists, namely the call to ‘teach the controversy’. The plea is expressed in regard to science education and, to some extent, the scientific community. The debate over creationism and evolution no longer seems to be about science but about politics, the creationist proponents often appealing to freedom of speech rather than, in this case, truth.

From the so called sceptics you constantly hear that warming either has stopped, that they predict a cooling or that the planet already is cooling. Like with their reporting on the potential drop in solar activity that, according to them, will counteract all the warming we have seen. And will very likely put us in a new little ice age. Which was…
It has been silent for a while at Top Gear about Electric vehicles. But with their latest review on the Nissan Leaf and the Peugeot iOn they have stirred up a bit of a controversy.
In it their report on both cars Jeremy Clarkson and James May set off for Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire, 60 miles away. During their report they made a lot of palava about the range, searching for a charging point and actually ran out of power. And they stressed the point they had to wait for 15 hours before the battery was charged again. Slamming the electric car quite hard for a lack of infrastructure for charging and battery range.
Like a fool I completely forgot what I was going to say to finish off the other blog entry, I did mention I was tired in it. The bit that is worthy of note in this is the reaction from the communities and their pulling together, the cleanups, the public support of the Police – they do get a lot of bad press at times. It’s the stuff that makes me proud to be English/British and it doesn’t matter to me if someone hasn’t always lived here or their families have only been here for 2 or 3 generations. It’s the sticking up for each other that counts and the not being beaten attitude.

So yesterday I posted a video to share with all of you. Well the person that made it made a follow on, so here it is! Watch this video on YouTube Womble
So recently I’ve been pulling my finger out and getting back to my regular chat habits with the denizens of LoR chat. One of the things we often do there is discuss various youtube videos, so I’m watching the one I was linked to and I thought that it might be of interest to you lovely people. Watch this video…
I can get you a really good rate on a short term loan, just 1% per day. I know that sounds like it adds up after a while, but in the short term, 1% per day is hardly a lot.
Oh, and there may be a couple of little fees, just administrative stuff, nothing to worry about, the important thing is that you need cash now, you don’t get paid until next week, and you don’t want to spend a lot of time reading paperwork or filling out forms. 1% a day isn’t all that much, and it’s worth it to you to get cash in hand. So, what do you say?
For me the internet can be a very scary place, case in point: science is only speculation. and no matter with however much they speculate, they will ALWAYS be incorrect in their assumptions. even the question of 2+2=4, it only adds to 4 depending on your consciousness level or frame of mind. I just cannot fathom why someone can have…
